Interpretation equipment and sound

Tour guide system rental for visits and mobile interpretation

A portable transmitter and wireless receivers: the guide or interpreter speaks normally, and the group hears clearly, even on the move and in noisy places.

On a factory, construction, site or project visit, there is no place for a booth. A tour guide system lets the speaker, guide or interpreter talk into a portable microphone while each participant listens through a receiver with an earpiece or headset.

We use the same Sennheiser UHF chain as for our conferences, in a mobile set-up. It is also the answer for light simultaneous interpretation for a small group, with no booth.

Frequently asked questions

What is a tour guide system?

A set of wireless transmitters and receivers, often supplied in a carry case, used for guided tours and interpretation on the move. It is also known as a whisper system or bidule.

Can it be used for interpretation?

Yes. The interpreter speaks into the transmitter while the speaker talks, and participants listen on their receivers. It is simultaneous interpretation without a booth, ideal for visits and small groups.
